SlapShot SDK completes NIST FastCAP Phase One qualification testing

Chantilly, VA — August 19, 2026 — We're proud to announce an important milestone for Sciometrics and SlapShot SDK. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has completed Phase One qualification testing for its Fast Capture (FastCAP) Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) program, and Sciometrics is officially listed among the vendors that completed qualification testing and met the requirements defined in the NIST SP-500-339 framework.
This achievement represents a significant step forward for SlapShot SDK, our touchless fingerprint capture technology, and for the broader adoption of contactless biometric identity solutions.
SlapShot SDK is designed to enable high-quality fingerprint capture without a traditional contact scanner — supporting a future where biometric enrollment and identity verification can be faster, more accessible, and easier to deploy across mobile and remote environments.
